Disney announced in 2020 that Splash Mountain would be receiving changes to be coon inspired by Princess and the Frog. Today, Disney shared some more details on the development of this attraction change.
The story of the attraction will take place after the final kiss as Naveen and Louis join Tiana on her latest adventure. Tiana will be hosting a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration where everyone is welcome and it will include some original music along the way. Tiana will lead the way and guests will be able to encounter both old and new friends along the way.
Disney also announced today they are donating $50,000 to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), a regional, pre-professional arts training center that offers students intensive instruction in culinary arts, dance, media arts, classical instrumental music, jazz instrumental music, classical vocal music, drama, musical theatre, theatre design, visual arts and creative writing.
