Welcome back! If you recall we did a poll a few weeks ago about our favorite Walt Disney World snacks. So, I wanted to start out by sharing the responses we received on what the top snacks are in the parks. The top choice was without much surprise the Dole Whip! This is a staple throughout Disney parks and while you can get it elsewhere, it just isn’t the same. Number two on the list was the Mickey Ice Cream Bar, followed by the pretzels and Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich. Popcorn and the Ronto Wrap rounded out the bottom of the list. The results weren’t too surprising really. We hope to do more interactive things like this soon!
Now for our main event…
Casey’s Corner is a Magic Kingdom staple. Fans were longing for its return as it hadn’t been open since prior to the pandemic. The quick service location is quite small and does present crowding issues. At the very end of June fans finally got what they wanted and Casey’s reopened. At this time it is mobile order only so make sure you are prepared. They also will close early most days so don’t expect to get some Casey’s hot dogs during the late hours.
My personal favorite and many others as well is the Mini Corn Dog Nuggets alongside a side of cheese! This popular meal/snack is roughly $10 and includes your choice of fries or an orange. The big kicker that people go nuts over though is the side of cheese sauce. Now, I will say on my first visit back I got the cheese for free with my order. On my second visit on the 4th of July, the cheese sauce was $1 extra. So, your mileage may very with the cheese.
Casey’s of course has plenty of hot dog options to choose from. For dessert you can get a baseball brownie. They also have chili-cheese fries and their popular frozen mint julep lemonade!
The only thing missing now is the best entertainment you could ask for in pianist Jim. We certainly hope he returns soon. The Crescent Lake Club is very excited to have this location back at the Magic Kingdom. Will you be headed to Casey’s on your next Magic Kingdom visit?
