As shared earlier today, Disney Cruise Line is about to set sail once again from the United States in Florida. This of course brings changes in offerings and operations.

As part of Disney’s Health and Wellness measures guests will be required to follow the following:

  • Voluntarily provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to embarkation
  • Pre-Trip COVID-19 Testing between 1-5 days prior to sail date (Guests who are fully vaccinated can provide proof of vaccination to be exempt from testing). Disney has set up testing for a special rate of $98.33 per test.
  • Embarkation COVID-19 Testing, guests will undergo a rapid PCR test prior to boarding and will be charged a $65 test fee. Guests who are fully vaccinated can once again be exempt from this as long as they provide proof of vaccination.
  • Guests 12 years and older must purchase travel insurance. Guests who are fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination can go without travel insurance.
  • All guests ages 2 and up regardless of vaccination will be required to wear face coverings indoors except when actively eating or drinking or inside their staterooms.
  • Disney has increased the number of hand-sanitizing stations throughout their ships.
  • Additional signage has been placed throughout the ships reminding guests of the guidelines.
  • Disney is reducing guest capacity and following physical distancing onboard their ships.
  • Disney has reimagined experiences on board to accommodate new health and safety measures.
  • Disney has added a Public Health Officer to their ship staff and will continue to have nurses and physicians on board for guests.

Disney has also added enhanced cleaning measures throughout their ships.

  • Frequency of cleaning has increased and extra attention will be paid to high touch surfaces.
  • Staterooms will undergo enhanced cleaning between voyages, in addition to twice daily housekeeping service during each voyage. Sofa pillows and paper stationary have been removed from staterooms.
  • All Disney Cruise Line ships have been equipped with new air purification systems.

Guests should utilize the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app

  • Use the guest service live chat feature to get answers directly on your mobile device during the cruise.
  • Disney will be utilizing a virtual queue for debarking the ship at all ports of call.
  • Mandatory emergency drills will now utilize the app to check into your designated station.

Guests should make sure they complete the online check-in service prior to embarkation. Guests should also make sure to arrive on time for embarking the ship. Disney will continue magical favorites like fireworks at sea and broadway style shows. Some aspects may be modified for the time being however. Character interactions for example will be done at a distance.

Kids clubs will be available to guests. Only one parent will be allowed to drop off or pick up a child at a time. Kids will be required to wash hands prior to entering and exiting the kids clubs. Capacity within clubs will also be limited. The It’s a Small World Nursery will be unavailable for the time being.

Senses Spa & Salon will be available for guests however select features will be unavailable such as the Rejuvenation Spa, Couples massages, the juice bar, teeth-whitening, barbering services, Chill Spa, and locker rooms. Fitness Centers will also be available for guests 14 and older. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will be available for children 3-12. Children must wear a face covering during this experience. Ping Pong and Shuffleboard and access to basketball courts will be temporarily unavailable.

Disney Cruise Line has updated its refund policy.

  • Guests who experience one or more of the qualifying scenarios on the day of embarkation will be denied boarding. Guests who are denied boarding will receive a Denied Boarding Voucher for the full amount of their sailing or a full refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees.
  • Once onboard, Guests who are subject to a mandatory quarantine or who test positive for COVID-19 will receive a pro-rated voucher for a future cruise or a pro-rated refund.
