In a very different year for Disney and professional sports, many had wondered if we would see the iconic Super Bowl and Disney announcement. Sure enough, after the game both Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski shouted those famous words: “I’m Going to Disney World!” Disney also lit up Cinderella Castle in Tampa Bay Buccaneer colors following the game.

Disney had previously announced that due to social distancing and safety guidelines at the parks, there would be no parade at the Magic Kingdom following this year’s Super Bowl. This made many believe a player would not be sent to the Most Magical Place on Earth. According to Disney, Rob Gronkowski will visit Walt Disney World and experience some of the top attractions throughout the resort. Tom Brady will have a visit later in the year scheduled, and it could be possible that they will do a parade at a later date.

The famous words were first spoken after the 1987 Super Bowl when New York Giants Quarterback Phil Simms said he was going to Disney World following the Giants victory.
