Adventures by Disney has announced new expedition cruise experiences to the northernmost regions of our planet. Guests will be able to experience natural wonders and wildlife as a team of naturalists and Adventure Guides bring strings and cultures of these regions to the guests both on land and sea.
New Family Expedition Cruises to the Arctic sail on a chartered adventure with PONANT. This unique adventure is scheduled for two departures in June and July 2023. This is a special 10-day, nine-night itinerary. Guests will travel to the Norweigian Arctic aboard the Le Boreal. Travel to Longyearbyen, the largest town in Norway’s Svalbard archipelago and the northernmost settlement on the planet. You will also be able to see the region’s most beautiful fjord, Kongsfjorden and daily boat excursions will take guests to spots to see polar bears, reindeer, arctic foxed and more!
On the July itinerary, beloved retired Imagineer Joe Rohde will join guests to share tales from his career, and of course his passion for nature and conservation. He will also host sketching sessions during the voyage.
Adventures by Disney has also added three new 12-day, 11-night Antarctica and Patagonia Expedition Cruises in December 2022 and early 2023. This adventure will take guests to the southernmost tip of Argentine Patagonia to visit the town of Ushuaia before traveling through the Drake Passage. Guests will be able to take daily boat excursions and hikes along the shorelines. You will also be able to learn how to dance the Tango and learn more about the cosmopolitan culture of Argentina’s capital by adding on the four-day, three night Buenos Aires Escape to this adventure.
There is also new Family Expedition Cruises in the Galápagos Islands! On board the Galápagos Legend, guests will take a nine-day, eight-night journey that explores the diverse islands and ecosystems of the Galápagos. Five new sailings are led by naturalists, and guests will discover the archipelago’s spectacular vistas and diverse plant and animal species. Guests will be able to snorkel in waters inhabited by sea lions reef fish and sea turtles as well as hike across islands and paddle in kayaks along sheltered coves.
Guests can also add The Adventures by Disney Amazon Escape allowing guests to stay in Quito and then three or four nights on the Anaconda river boat. Those on this escape can explore the rainforest and the Napo River in a motorized canoe searching for the pink river dolphin.
