Royal Caribbean just debuted its brand new Wonder of the Seas but they are already looking ahead to their next Oasis Class ship, Utopia of the Seas. Construction recently has begun on the sixth ship in this class.

The new ship is being built in Saint-Nazaire, France and the name was revealed during a steel-cutting ceremony that took place at the Chantiers de l‘Atlantique shipyard. Utopia of the Seas will make its debut in the spring of 2024 as the first Oasis Class ship powered by LNG (liquefied natural gas).

Utopia will take 30-months to construct. Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group; Laurent Castaing, General Manager of Chantiers de l’Atlantique, and more attended the event. With Utopia being the first LNG-powered Oasis Class ship, the cruise line will continue to strive for energy efficiency and reducing emissions.

We cannot wait to see what becomes of Utopia of the Seas. When the ship goes on sale to book we will be right there to bring you all of the info and more. If you are looking to book a Royal Caribbean sailing in the mean time, contact your Crescent Lake Club agent today!
