Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle announced on Instagram today that “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” will debut in mid-May.

We do not have a specific start date just yet but will share it when we have it. The show will be one of the first big ones to return to Walt Disney World since the covid closures. It is expected that this summer Walt Disney World will expand capacity further and opening shows like this will be needed.

It is note worthy this is not the normal Festival of the Lion King many of us know and love. This will be a special version to accommodate covid restrictions.
