Carnival Splendor set sail from Seattle on May 2nd marking the return of all 23 ships in the Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival became the first major cruise line to do so.
Splendor embarked on an 8-day journey to Alaska. Carnival now has three ships sailing to Alaska this summer, marking the largest cruise program Carnival has sailed to Alaska.
With Carnival Splendor beginning operations today from Seattle, Carnival Cruise Line is thrilled to have our entire fleet of 23 ships back in service, providing more opportunities for our guests to enjoy our signature fun while traveling to beautiful vacation destinations.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line hosted a “Back to Fun” even at the Port of Seattle to celebrate the occasion. Beginning with Carnival Vista in July 2021, Carnival has brought every single ship back in just 10 months. Carnival is operating from 12 U.S. homeports including Miami, Galveston, Port Canaveral, Long Beach, Baltimore, New Orleans, Tampa, Charleston, Jacksonville, Mobile, Seattle and San Francisco.
