Carnival Cruise Line has broken ground on an all new cruise port on Grand Bahama Island. The all new port is set to open in late 2024.
Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy and several other dignitaries were on hand for the ceremony. The port is located on the south side of the island and will offer a new Bahamian experience. This port will open the door for jobs and business opportunities for residents of Grand Bahama as well.
The port will be able to accommodate up to two Excel class ships at a time. There will be a dedicated shore excursion dock as well as dedicated transportation hub. The port itself will feature an interior pool feature as well as retail, dining and more.
