Carnival Cruise Line is giving us our first look at what is to come with the Carnival Celebration debuting later this year. This ship is the sister to the Carnival Mardi Gras and will debut in November in Miami.
Carnival Cruise vacations begin in the atrium, and on Carnival Celebration, that is Celebration Central. Celebration Central will span Decks 6, 7 and 8 and is an update to the starboard side atrium on the Mardi Gras. This space will feature a ceiling that appears as a burst of confetti made of approximately 1,400 color changing lights that will transform from day to night. Also in Celebration Central, 3,000 square-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that will change into 16 individually controlled six- by 14-foot LED screens. Celebration Central will be used for live music, special effects, aerial acrobatic performances, and high-energy shows.
Carnival Celebration will include nods to Carnival history. Aquaria Bar, will include ocean-themed glass murals from Carnival Victory by Italian artist Luciano Vistosi which will be incorporated into a two-deck high decorative wall behind the bar. Tropical Bar pays homage to Carnival’s first ship to sport the line’s iconic funnel.
Celebration Central will also include food and beverage options such as JavaBlue Café, Bonsai Sushi and Bonsai Teppanyaki, and entertainment such as Piano Bar 88 and The Punchliner Comedy Club.
After becoming incredibly popular on Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration’s Ultimate Playground will include BOLT, the Ultimate Sea Coaster. Guests will be able to race along 800-feet of track 187 feet above the sea and reaching speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. Also in the Ultimate Playground will be WaterWorks aqua park and SportSquare featuring mini-golf, basketball and a ropes course.
Summer Landing aboard the Celebration will be located on Deck 8 and will serve the greatest chill spot at sea with Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse, offering smoked-on-board favorites created by Guy Fieri and an assortment of Carnival’s ParchedPig craft beers brewed on site. The Watering Hole poolside bar, and the Heroes Tribute Lounge which honors military personnel.
Poolside zone, Lido, on desks 16 and 17 will feature experiences such as a two-level RedFrog Tiki Bar, Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken restaurant, Guy’s Burger Joint, Seafood Shack, and BlueIguana Cantina.
