Cruiseline.com has awarded Carnival’s new Mardi Gras the title “Best New Cruise Ship of 2021” as part of their 2022 Member Choice Awards.
The award was announced this week as data was taken from more than 4,000 members of the Cruiseline.com website. The Mardi Gras received the highest score in the “Best New Cruise Ship” category. Carnival also received this honor from USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards and Cruise Hive’s annual awards.
Carnival Mardi Gras first set sail in July 2021 and introduced new revolutionary things to the industry such as BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea. Mardi Gras was also the first ship powered by liquid natural gad. Currently, Mardi Gras is sailing from Port Canaveral offering seven-day vacations to popular Caribbean destinations.
Mardi Gras is only the first of three Excel-class ships to join the Carnival lineup. Carnival Celebration will debut this fall in Miami and Carnival Jubilee in Galveston next year.
