Today, at Destination D23, Disney Imagineering executive Bruce Vaughn and Parks and Resorts Chairman Josh D’Amaro gave us a look into things that may be coming to Walt Disney World. Much of this is a work in progress and is bound to change at any time. Nothing official has been announced at this time.
At Magic Kingdom, Disney said they are looking at expanding the park beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This expansion would be the largest the park has ever seen and on the scale of Pandora – The World of Avatar and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. No further details were given.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, more specific details were presented included a new concept image. Animal Kingdom’s Dinoland would make way for a new land based on Central America. This land would feature aspects of that culture as well as dive into the properties of Encanto and Indiana Jones! Aspects of this are bound to change before work begins as well.
