Disney is giving us our first details about their all new ship! Bookings for this one of a kind cruise ship will open May 27th, 2021. Here is a full rundown of what is to come with the Disney Wish.

The Grand Hall or atrium is the first thing you see on the Disney Wish and it is themed after Cinderella. With elegant charm and grand spaces. This is the castle of the seas for Disney Cruise Line. The Disney Wish is well under construction as we speak and will run on liquified natural gas to promote a better and cleaner environment, something Disney has strived for.

The first new thing on the Disney Wish that will differ from other Disney ships is the AquaMouse! This new water coaster will be a two-minute long experience which is twice as long as the AquaDuck on other Disney ships. This all new type of attraction at sea will have show scenes, lighting and much more! You will be immersed in a Mickey and pals storyline using the new Mickey Mouse short style characters. It will have a 42-inch height requirement. Also for the kids an all new Toy Story Splash Zone and play area that will be sure to delight! The family pool district on the Wish will also double as an entertainment venue with a poolside stage, jumbo LED screen and more.

Moving onto the kids clubs, kids will have a secret slide entrance into the club! Marvel Super Hero Academy will come over to the Disney Wish and super heroes like Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Ant-Man and the Wasp will make an appearance. That is not all, kids can head over to Fairytale Hall to interact with the characters and stories from Frozen and Tangled. There will also be the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab onboard for kids to explore and discover with hands on activities. It’s A Small World Nursery will offer babysitting services in a themed environment inspired by the beloved attraction. Edge will be the place to be for those 11-14 years old and Vibe for the 14-17 year olds. These trendy hangouts are designed with these age groups in mind.

Luna an all new experience will be the town square of the ship. This will be an event gathering space that evokes enchantment of classic Disney stories. This brand new hub will transition from daytime family settings to elegant adult exclusive spaces at night. Luna will offer a variety of entertainment throughout the day. This space is inspired by the Pixar short “La Luna.”

Hero Zone is another all new space aboard the Disney Wish. This is a futuristic sports arena where activity mixes with imagination in a family obstacle course and free-play sports hub. Families will take on action packed challenges themes to some of Disney’s most incredible heroes during over the top competitions. There will even be balcony viewing spaces for other guests to watch and cheer.

Aladdin will be the big theatrical production for guests to experience on the Wish in the Walt Disney Theater. This theater will be themed after an enchanted forest and feature an all new projection mapping system and Dolby Atmos 3D audio system which is a first for the cruise line industry will be a part of the Walt Disney Theater. Two new shows will also be shared at a later date as well. The Grand Hall will also feature a stage that will host fun performances throughout the day. Wonderland Cinema, inspired by Alice in Wonderland will be a space for guests to watch classic and new Disney films. Never Land Cinema will be another space for guests to do so as well inspired by Disney’s Peter Pan of course.

Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge will be a highly themed Star Wars lounge for adults to indulge in concoctions throughout the galaxy such as Batuu, Tatooine, and Mustafar. A Beauty and the Beast themed lounge will also delight guests with gourmet meals and exceptional beverages. Palo Steakhouse is an evolution of Palo on other Disney ships and Enchanté will be the upscale dining venues aboard the Disney Wish. Enchanté will be run by Chef Arnaud Lallement who is a three-Michelin-starred chef. The Rose will be a chic lounger at the entrance of Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté and will be the perfect place for a pre or post dinner cocktail.

Senses Spa makes it way to the Disney Wish offering plenty of spa and beauty treatments. From private treatment rooms, lavish spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms, guests will be sure to be taken care of. The Quiet Cove pool district will offer adults a variety of gourmet cafes bars, and lounges.

As for the staterooms, they will have an “enchanted” new look with details from stories like Cinderella. The Wish will have 1,254 staterooms including 877 with a verandah and 451 rooms will have connecting doors for larger groups. Most staterooms will feature the Disney Cruise Line signature split bathroom concept. The staterooms will also have enhanced storage options with elevated bed frames, roomy closest, and more. Many rooms will feature 43-inch TVs, USB and USB-C ports, large vanities, mini refrigerators, safes, privacy dividers, deluxe toiletries, and much more!

The concierge level accommodations will be expanded more than ever before. The Wish has 76 concierge staterooms and suites. Accommodating up to five guests, these rooms feature living areas, king beds, and premium amenities. For the first time ever four two-story royal suites with a grand staircase will be part of the Disney Wish. These suites will accommodate six guests and feature first class amenities. Two will be Princess Aurora Royal Suites and the other two Briar Rose Royal Suites. Each features two master bedrooms featuring their own bathrooms with double vanities, rainfall shower or tub as well as a double sleeper sofa in the living room and a third bathroom. Another first will be the seven exclusive oceanview staterooms located above the bridge of the ship.

Family dining is a huge piece of Disney Cruise Line and the Wish will have three new family dining venues. Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure will come to life on the Wish with Frozen characters performing while you eat in an all new experience that picks up after Frozen 2 left off. This location will feature world class cuisine infused with Nordic influences. Next up is 1923, an elegant Hollywood inspired venue based around when Walt Disney got his start. Last but not least is an all new Marvel cinematic dining adventure where you will be put inside the world of Marvel! Worlds of Marvel will be an interactive new dining experience for the whole family.

Disney also confirmed fireworks at sea would be part of the Disney Wish.

The Disney Wish will set sail on its maiden voyage on June 9th, 2022 with a season of three and four night cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Castaway Cay from Port Canaveral. Cruises will depart June through September 2022. The Wish maiden voyage will be a special five-night voyage with two days at sea and stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay. The June 14th, sailing will be a Disney Vacation Club cruise that is three nights and features a stop at Castaway Cay.
