Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will be reopening on April 30th, 2021 and Disney has given an update on what to expect with attractions and entertainment.
First up is Rise of the Resistance. When the park reopens Rise of the Resistance will utilize a virtual queue system. Distribution times for the virtual queue will be twice daily, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Specific times for the releases will be shared later.
Guests who have a valid theme park ticket and reservation and start their day at Disneyland park will be able to access the virtual queue system the morning of their visit. To access the second virtual queue opportunity, guests must have a a valid theme park ticket and reservation and have visited either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. Park hopping does begin at 1 p.m. at Disneyland resort.
Rey, Chewbacca, and Vi Moradi will be out and about in Black Spire Outpost. You may also find Stormtroopers and Kylo Ren patrolling about.
Guests can enjoy the newly reimagined Snow White’s Enchanted Wish or the Haunted Mansion in New Orlean’s Square which also has some enhancements.
Throughout the parks guests will be able to wave and spot their favorite Disney characters. You will find Mickey Mouse and some of his pals at the Main Street Station, or in Mickey’s Toontown. Disney Princesses will be seen in Fantasyland or on balconies in New Orleans Square you may spot Jack Sparrow. Miguel from Coco will even show up in Frontierland.
Over in Disney California Adventure, character appearances will include Disney Junior stars in Hollywood Land. You may spot other friends at Carthay Circle or in Pixar Pier as well. In Cars Land, Lightning, Mater and Red will be out for photos. In Hollywood Land, Marvel heroes may be found including Black Panther, Captain America, and more.
