Beginning July 16th, the first floor lobby at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will close for refurbishment.
Many guest services in the lobby will remain open such as elevator, and escalator access, restrooms, and access to convention center and buss transportation. The front desk services will move upstairs to the second floor during the refurbishment.
Guests will soon see a collection of modern art pieces and will get a glimpse at behind the scenes photos of the Contemporary under construction. Once the lobby is complete in late September, it will feature enhanced check-in service and offer an open free flowing layout with enhanced seating areas.
This is all part of the larger overall resort refurbishment bringing the Incredibles franchise to the resort.
