If you have been missing some of the beloved entertainment offerings at the Disneyland Resort then you are in luck! In 2022, several things are returning to both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure.
In February 2022, “Celebrate Gospel!” musical celebration will come to Disneyland park. In 2022, it will expand and feature live choir performances, each sharing its own distinctive style and inspiration. This powerful event moves to the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland park where guests will be able to enjoy uplifting choir performances on select days during the month of February.
In the spring, “Tale of the Lion King” will return to a new space in the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland park. An imaginative adaptation of Disney’s “The Lion King.” A hit with guests when it debuted in 2019 at Disney California Adventure park, “Tale of the Lion King” is brought to life by the Storytellers of the Pride Lands, a troupe of traveling performers who present Simba’s beloved and timeless journey in a unique story-theater style with live music and dance.
Main Street Electrical Parade returns in 2022 just in time for it’s 50th anniversary! The parade beloved by many will bring back guest favorite floats such as Elliot the Dragon and the iconic train and drum featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy.
Fantasmic! is Disney’s longest running nighttime spectacular and for nearly 30 years has delighted guests of all ages. This beloved show returns to the Rivers of America in 2022 at Disneyland park!
“World of Color” will be back next year as well at Disney California Adventure park. This nighttime spectacular featuring water, music, fire, fog and laser effects creates an unforgettable experience.
And finally, “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular returns to Disneyland Park with its incredible projection effects, lasers, pyrotechnics and more. Disney will share more details on specifics of all these returning offerings soon!
