Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will be reopening April 30th as previously announced. Today we are getting more details on what to expect in purchasing tickets for when Disneyland opens.
When the parks reopen just like Walt Disney World, the Disneyland parks will be under enhanced health and safety measures as well as reduced capacity. Guests will be required to obtain a theme park reservation for their visit. As previously announced only California residents will be allowed to visit Disneyland until further notice.
Guests must have a valid theme park ticket in order to make a theme park reservation. Groups attending the parks together can only do so in groups of up to three households and no larger according to state guidelines. The theme park reservation system will launch on April 12th for those who already have existing ticket media. Theme park ticket sales for new tickets will go live on April 15th. Theme park reservations may be made available on a rolling basis to accommodate many different ticket types. Ticket calendars will also be updated on a rolling basis.
- April 9: If you currently hold a theme park ticket, you can check available days for your 1-day ticket type beginning April 9 on Disneyland.com/ParksUpdates.
- April 12: The theme park reservation system will open no earlier than 8 a.m. PT on April 12 and guests who already have valid theme park tickets may begin making park reservations.
- April 15: Theme park ticket sales will resume no earlier than 8 a.m. PT on April 15, and guests without park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations.
Those stying at Disney’s Grand Californian hotel will NOT be guaranteed theme park reservations.
Guests with the park hopper option should select the park they intend to start their day at and then beginning at 1 p.m. that day they will be able to park hop. Guests with multi-day tickets will need to select reservations for each day of their visit. Currently both Disneyland and California Adventure are scheduled to be open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. but hours are subject to change.
Parking will be available at Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures. Guests should plan ahead and use the Disneyland app for mobile ordering at dining locations. Rise of the Resistance will utilize a virtual queue upon reopening.
