Each Friday, the Crescent Lake Club brings you the latest Foodie Find — a review of a dish, cocktail or even restaurant that you’ve been missing out on!
This week on Foodie Find, we head back to the best Walt Disney World theme park: Animal Kingdom! Even though the park overall does have some mixed feelings by many, many do agree it has great quick service options. I of course agree with that, and today we are taking a look at Satu’li Canteen inside Pandora: The World of Avatar!
Satu’li Canteen offers a lot of unfamiliar looking items that taste familiar. They also offer a bunch of health conscious and hearty items. I definitely believe there is something here for everyone.
This quick service location serves both lunch and dinner. It did for a short period serve a breakfast but unfortunately it is no longer. There are five different “create your own style” bowls to choose from. You can include beef, chicken, shrimp, or tofu in these bowls and they range in price from $12.49 to $16.99. These are great options that will satisfy that hunger.
My personal favorite are the Cheeseburger Steamed Pods. These Boa Bun cheeseburger pods are stuffed with beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese. They are served with a side of crunchy vegetable slaw, and vegetable chips. I compare the pods to a Mcdonald’s cheeseburger in likeness. I really enjoy this meal and I love the chips as a side.
Kids can also find their own cheeseburger pod meal, a cheese quesadilla, and a “Teylu” all-beef hot dog wrapped in dough.
We cannot forget about dessert though! There are two offerings here, a chocolate cake – with crunchy cookie and banana cream topping, as well as a blueberry cream cheese mousse. The cream cheese mousse is something I go out of my way for. I will go to Satu’li Canteen just for dessert at times. It is that food in my opinion.
If you are into the beverage scene they have a bunch of offerings at Satu’li. The Hawkes’ Grog Ale is the signature green beer that can be found in Pandora. There is also a Dreamwalker Sangria and the Mo’ara High Country Ale. If looking for a non-alcoholic beverage, go with the Pandoran Sunrise which is a blend of tropical juices.
Right now this location is mobile order only and can get busy. I suggest putting in your mobile order early if possible or look at dining at a less popular time like between the major meal times.
Satu’li Canteen is a must do quick service location in my eyes. If you haven’t been I say give it a try. If you have been, I would love to hear what your go to items here are. Let us know down below!
