The news wasn’t hyped and, of course, it didn’t make headlines, but for beer nerds and beard enthusiasts who are fans of all things Disney, it’s game changing.

For however long it lasts anyway.

Bloom IPA, Parish Brewing Co.’s most popular seasonal IPA, will be available at the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which begins March 3.

The 7 percent “juicy, soft, hazy IPA … loaded with Simcoe and Nugget hops,” according to Parish — and confirmed by serious hop-heads, will be available at the Trowel & Trellis hosted by Impossible Foods at the World Showcase Plaza. Because after a half-dozen IPAs, who doesn’t want to gorge themselves on fake meat?

Despite the odd pairing, this is a reason for hardcore beer fans to rejoice. Parish, located in Broussard, Louisiana, in the heart of Cajun country, makes some of the most sought-after IPAs in America and sits comfortably among heavy hitters on the brew scene such as Other Half, Monkish, The Veil, Tree House and Trillium. But be warned: Get to Trowel & Trellis early and drink your fill, because there likely isn’t a lot and it could go quickly. You never know — it is a seasonal after all.

The arrival of such an elite beer is something longtime EPCOT visitors never could have imagined happening. It’s like witnessing Kyrie Irving being rational and dependable, or people openly discussing Yadier Molina’s Hall of Fame chances.

The quality of beer at EPCOT has always been impressive, but this is next level. This is bringing the Lambo to the BMW collectors’ club.

Ghost in the Machine, Parish’s flagship IPA that is one of the finest year-round beers in the country, also will be available at the Magnolia Terrace in the American Adventure with more appropriate fare. Pair your Ghost (many Ghosts?) with some crawfish étouffée with andouille sausage and dirty rice, Cajun-style roasted oysters, house-made boudin two ways with spicy mustard, pecan cake with maple whipped cream, or a pecan praline for the full Louisiana experience.

The Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is always a grand time, and now it’s even better with two world-class craft beer offerings from Parish.

It’s in full Bloom.
