As we have previous mentioned Disney is prepping for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary. Today, they gave us some more details on what is to come.
The Main Street Confectionary will close in a few days to get a big update. The ever popular confectionary will receive a new layout for more guest space as well as interactive opportunities to customize your favorite treats. We aren’t quite sure just yet how it will look but we cannot wait.
In addition The Chapeau will close this month as well for refurbishment which is directly connected to the Main Street Confectionary. You will be able to still find your favorite treats and hats though. Many treats from the confectionary will move temporarily to the Main Street Cinema during the renovation. Box Office Gifts will carry your favorite Disney hats and then Disney art will be found at Bonjour! Village Gifts in Fantasyland.
Disney made sure to note this is just part of the overall preparation for the 50th anniversary. Areas throughout the park are receiving fresh paint jobs and more as Disney works to make the Magic Kingdom look its best for one of its most important celebrations ever.
Let us know if you are looking forward to updates to different Magic Kingdom shops and attractions.
