Nestled along the bank of Discovery River, just a short walk from the bridge into Pandora: The World of Avatar sits one of the best, most unique lounges in all of Walt Disney World – Nomad Lounge.
The sister bar to the similarly-themed Tiffins, Nomad Lounge offers a wide arrange of animal-inspired cocktails featuring an array of spirits and mixers that pay homage to the flora and fauna that surrounds the lounge.
One of the most popular cocktails on offer at the Nomad Lounge is the Lamu Libation! Featuring three types of rum and four types of fresh fruit juice, the Lamu Libation packs a punch while also offering a light and fruity sweetness that make it a great mid-afternoon break cocktail.
Want to try to make the Lamu Libation at home?! Of course you do! Get ready – it’s time to Make It, Don’t Fake It!
What You Need:
- 1 ounce African Starr rum (can’t find it – don’t worry … )
- White/Light Rum (I used traditional Bacardi)
- dash of Maraschino Liquor
- 1 ounce Banana Rum – Bacardi and Cruzan are the two most available brands of Banana-flavored rum
- 1 ounce 161 or Overproof Rum (Plantation O.F.T.D is what I used)
- 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
- 1 ounce Orange Juice
- 1 ounce Lime Juice
- .5 ounce Guava Juice or Puree
Measure all of your ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until well mixed. Pour into a highball glass of ice. Garnish with a fruit of your choosing – I went with Luxardo cherries, but pineapple would also be delicious!
