As we continue to get closer to the inaugural sailing of the Disney Wish in June 2022, Disney Cruise Line continues to announce even more details about this incredible new ship coming. The most recent announcement focuses on the adults and exclusive experiences they will be able to have on board.
The Disney Wish will feature Disney Cruise Line’s first ever outdoor spa retreat. This will be complete with whirlpool spas, plush loungers, and plenty of open air space for yoga sessions. The new outdoor area is an extension of their signature Rainforest experience. The Rainforest will also introduce the first ice lounge, where guests can combine thermal therapies. Guest favorites such as heated ergonomic loungers; sensory spa showers; and sauna, steam and dry chambers will also be available.
Next, we have the Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery. At the Untangled Salon, guests can get their hair styled as well as receive manicures, pedicures, teeth whitening and skin treatments. This chic high end salon will be themed to Rapunzel and the film Tangled featuring shades of purple and gold. Hook’s Barbery will take a unique twist on a traditional European men’s salon. Hook’s will offer cuts, shaves, and nail and skin care. Inspired by Captain Hook and Neverland, the Barbery will be decked in dark woods, leather chairs, and ornate golden mirror. This space will even feature a hidden bar with bourbons, vintage whisky and more.
Keg & Compass will be a 1800s Norwegian style pub. This new adult space will feature a fantastical old maritime map spanning the entire ceiling. The map will feature locations important to the Walt Disney Company and construction of the Disney Wish. This space will be great for kicking back and watching live sports and other events while sampling a variety of beers including three custom craft brews. There will also be an assortment of liquors, wines and cocktails.
Nightingale’s will be a piano bar inspired by Cinderella’s rendition of “Sing Sweet Nightingale.” This space will offer an extensive menu of wines, bubblies and hand crafted cocktails. The lounge will be an extension of the fairytale inspired Grand Hall, with large doors that allow the piano tunes to spill out into the atrium.
The Bayou will be a New Orleans inspired informal lounge. Inspired by the bayou and Disney animated film ” The Princess and the Frog,” the space features magnolia blossoms, lily pads, and twinkling fireflies overhead. This space will offer cocktails, specialty coffees and signature beignets in a social atmosphere with live entertainment.
