Norwegian has revealed what’s to come with their second of six cutting edge ships. The Norwegian Viva will launch in June 2023 in four Mediterranean destinations: Lisbon, Portugal; Venice and Rome, Italy; and Athens, Greece. In Winter 2023-2024, Viva will move to the Southern Caribbean sailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Norwegian Viva is built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri and will be 965 feet long, 142,500 gross tons. The ship will accommodate 3,219 guests at double occupancy. The ship includes the largest inside, ocean view and balcony category staterooms in Norwegian Cruise Line. The largest variety of suite categories will also be available on Viva.
Some of the special features of Viva include a redefined Haven by Norwegian, NCL’s ultra-premium keycard ship within a ship concept. Some special activities include the fastest freewill drop slides at sea with The Rush and The Drop and the largest three-level racetrack at Sea with Viva Speedway. Ocean Boulevard is a 44,000 square foot outdoor walkway that wraps the entire ship. Indulge Food Hall will feature 11 eateries, and The Concourse includes an outdoor sculpture garden.
