After yesterday’s tease we got our news! runDisney has announced their full 2021-2022 race weekend calendar! Some changes we have seen. No Castaway Cay Challenge for Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and no Kids Races for any weekend. Disney also announced the all new replacement for Star Wars Weekend!
From November 4th through the 7th take part in the 2021 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon. This weekend will be villains themed once again and include a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and the Two Course Challenge (10K + Half Marathon). Registration will open July 13th. Disney is also offering virtual versions of these races in addition to in person races. Wine and Dine also includes an after party at Epcot the day of the Half Marathon which is included for runners of the challenge and the half marathon. Guests can also purchase tickets to this after party.

Up next we have the granddaddy of them all! Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will take place from January 5th through the 9th. Runners will be able celebrate the 50th anniversary in style with Mickey and the gang. This race weekend includes a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon along with two challenges. The Goofy Challenge includes the Half and Full Marathons and then the Dopey Challenge includes all four races! Registration opens July 20th for Club runDisney members and then July 27th for general registration.

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will take place from February 24-27th, 2022. It will also take place during the Walt Disney World 50th celebration and feature Disney Princesses throughout. Just like Wine and Dine this weekend includes a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Challenge. Registration for Princess Half Marathon Weekend opens August 17th for Club runDisney and then August 24th for general registration. Disney is also adding Sunrise Yoga event.
