runDisney gave fans what they have been waiting for today. An all new race weekend in 2022 will celebrate the past. Replacing the Star Wars Rival Run Weekend will be Springtime Surprise which will rotate themes from year to year.
In 2022, runDisney is bringing back some old beloved races. Runners will be able to participate in the following from March 31-April 3rd, 2022.
Expedition Everest 5K and Scavenger Hunt – This race will once again take place at night combined with a scavenger hunt during the race.
Race for the Taste 10K – This 10K will mirror the old version of this race but now celebrate Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the newest attraction at Epcot.
Tower of Terror 10-miler – The 10-miler is back! However the biggest difference is the race moves to the morning.
Runners can also experience all the fun with the Springtime Surprise Challenge which includes all three events for 19.3 total miles and a special challenge medal. The weekend will also include Sunrise Yoga at Cinderella Castle which will be first introduced at Princess Half Marathon Weekend in February 2022.
