Your guide to this week at Walt Disney World and Disneyland theme parks. From park hours, refurbishments, special events and more! Park hours and times are subject to change.

Walt Disney World

Magic Kingdom

  • Early entry is offered to all Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests beginning 30 minutes prior to park open.
  • Walt Disney World Railroad is closed for refurbishment during this time.
  • Extended Evening Hours are only for guests staying at Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts.
  • Beacons of Magic for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary take place on Cinderella Castle throughout the night.
  • Splash Mountain will be closed for refurbishment beginning January 10th.
  • Walt Disney World Railroad is closed until further notice.
  • Magic Kingdom is closing at 4:30PM on February 8th for a special cast member celebration.

EPCOT

  • Extended Evening Hours are only for guests staying at Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts.
  • Beacons of Magic for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary take place on Spaceship Earth throughout the night.
  • EPCOT International Festival of the Arts begins January 14th and runs through February 21st.
  • Disney on Broadway Concert Series will feature the following this week:
    • Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) and Josh Strickland (Tarzan) on February 7th, 9th, 10th and 13th
    • Kissy Simmons (The Lion King) and Michael James Scott (Aladdin) on February 8th, 11th and 12th
  • Kid’s Chalk Art will take place daily new The Land from 11 AM – 4 PM.
  • Guests can take part in the Wonderful Walk of Cuisine during the International Festival of the Arts collecting stamps from five different food studios.
  • Expression Section: A Paint by Numbers Mural is open in World Nature from 11 AM – 5 PM daily.
  • For specific artist signings and appearances check the schedule here.
  • Souk-al-Magreb is closed for refurbishment.

  • Expedition Everest is closed for refurbishment (scheduled to reopen mid-April).

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. Water Parks are subject to weather closure. (Blizzard Beach is closed for refurbishment)

Disney Springs is open daily from 10 AM to 11 PM. (Open until 11:30 PM on Feb. 11th and 12th)

Disneyland Resort

  • Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is closed for refurbishment.
  • Tarzan’s Treehouse is closed for refurbishment.
  • Sailing Ship Columbia is closed for refurbishment.
  • Mark Twain Riverboat is closed for refurbishment.
  • Splash Mountain is closed for refurbishment.
  • Mickey’s Mix Magic with Projections takes place nightly.
  • Disneyland After Dark Sweethearts will take place February 8th and 10th (special fireworks will take place at 9:30PM)

  • Grizzly River Run is closed for refurbishment beginning January 24th.
  • Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is closed for refurbishment (reopens Feb. 11th)
