Each week, two members of the Crescent Lake Club tackle the best and worst offerings at theme parks and resorts. This week, Ryan is back solo to rank his top and bottom spots to grab a drink at Disney Springs!
Disney Springs is massive and has a ton of dining and bar options to choose from. Everyone is certain to find something that fits their tastes. I definitely have my favorites that I love to go back to at Disney Springs but also love to try new drinks or new to me places.
Top 3 Disney Springs Thirst Quenching Stops
The top spot for me is a favorite for both dining and bars. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ has so much to offer. The outdoor newly expanded Shine Bar or indoor bar and restaurant is sure to please everyone. My favorite drink option here is reusing my squeeze bottle that I purchased on a previous trip and filling it with some Sweet Tea Shine which is sweet tea, fresh squeezed lemon, and moonshine! I love good sweet tea and Homecomin’ has great regular sweet tea if you are looking for a non-alcoholic option too but mix in that moonshine and it takes it to a whole new level. Homecomin’ offers a weekend brunch and of course lunch and dinner. For brunch you can find mimosas, sangrias, and great bloody mary’s. For lunch and dinner you can find several beer options, specialty cocktails, and wine.
Spot number two for me is The Boathouse. Again this establishment offers both outdoor, and indoor bars as well as a large dining space. The Boathouse just started offered a Sunday brunch in addition to their daily lunch and dinner offerings. At brunch you can find awesome mimosas and bloodies. The Boathouse has a great list of specialty cocktails, beers, and wine as well. You can even find a special exclusive Boathouse beer called Dockside Lager! With the incredible antique boats along the dock, the water, and the amphicars sailing on by this is another must stop.
My final top three option is one I find more underrated. Paradiso 37 is a big must do for the Crescent Lake Club mostly because of their happy hour offerings. We love to stop there while checking out Disney Springs and grabbing a $5 margarita. Now at busier times this price will go up to $7 for happy hour but still pretty reasonable when it comes to Disney offerings. They also offer domestic beers for the same price. Grab a table near the walk up bar or find one nearby. This is a great spot to people watch or hear some of the live entertainment throughout Disney Springs.
Bottom 3 Disney Springs Thirst Quenching Stops
This is a very hard list to come up with and I am not sure I have a true bottom three but I am giving it a go. First up is the rooftop bar at Coca-Cola Store. Now the views can be great but the drinks are very average. You can find some of your former Club Cool favorites from Epcot here but when it comes to alcoholic drinks there is some room to improve.
Next up for me is Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill. This location leaves a lot to be desired. Its not a place I want to really go and hangout like many others. There are a bunch of cocktail, beer, and wine offerings and certainly things I enjoy there but there just isn’t much appeal. They do offer a brunch, lunch, and dinner but again I would much rather go elsewhere.
My last bottom three stop is more a cop out than anything because this bottom three has been very hard to choose but T-Rex is it. Its primarily a restaurant and not so much a place to stop and get drinks but its not a place I want to go. Maybe once I have kids that will change but it always is crazy loud and has loads of people waiting outside for tables. When I can go to a dozen other places with great drinks and food and sit outside on a nice Florida night I will take that any day.
So there you have it! My top 3, bottom 3 Disney Springs thirst quenching stops! You really cannot go wrong at Disney Springs when it comes to finding a spot to relax and have a cocktail or even a mocktail. I hope this even gave you some new ideas of places to check out. Let me know what I missed or what would be on your list down below!
