Disney has just announced all new details for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” beginning on October 1st, 2021. This milestone event kicks off on Walt Disney World’s 50th birthday and will last for 18 months!
The event will feature all sorts of new decorations throughout the theme parks. Disney has coined a new word to help the celebration called “EARidescence” as a play on what guests will see. Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom will receive all new festive decor.
That is not all of course. Epcot and Spaceship Earth is receiving an all new special lighting package. This new look for Spaceship Earth will continue beyond the 50th celebration. The Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s will receive special new touches to bring these park icons to life.
The characters are also getting in on the fun. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will don brand new sparkling outfits for the celebration! Mickey and Minnie are set to be the hosts for the event in their new “EARidescent” looks.
