Walt Disney World has announced several new things to help better the guest experience for your next visit!
1. No more theme park reservations for date-based tickets
Starting with visits beginning January 9th, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. Tickets prior to January 9th, 2024 will still be subject to reservations. Reservations may also still be needed for other ticket media such as annual passes or cast member entry.
2. “Good-to-go days” for Annual Passholders and Cast Members
In 2024, Disney will offer Annual Passholders and Cast Members may visit Walt Disney World theme parks without needing a park reservation on certain days. This will be in addition to the new update for Passholders to visit theme parks after 2 p.m. without needing a reservation. More details will come on this.
3. Disney Dining Plans Return in 2024
Disney Dining Plans will return beginning with packages beginning January 9th, 2024. Guests will be able to choose between the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. Pricing and more details to come soon.
4. Extended Park Time for Disney Resort Guests to Continue
Disney will continue to offer Early Entry benefits for onsite resort guests through 2024. Guests at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa resorts will also be able to continue to take advantage of Extended Evening Hours through 2024. Entry requires valid theme park admission and a resort ID.
5. More Updates Coming to Disney Genie+
Disney will be making more updates to the Disney Genie+ experience soon. This will include less time planning in the parks and options to plan ahead of time. Specific details have yet to be announced with a focus on visits beginning in 2024.
