Any mom who has traveled, whether to Target or to Magic Kingdom, knows how much planning goes into just leaving the house. Diapers. Bottles. Food. Wipes. Pacifiers. The list goes on and on! If you forget something, it could literally ruin the day for you and your kid.
Another potential stressful element of leaving home is figuring out how and where to feed and change your kid. While some kids are fine to eat in the middle of the chaos of Chef Mickey’s and will nurse peacefully as you ride past the Phoenicians, other babies need a calmer, quieter environment.
Thankfully, Walt Disney World has a solution for your potential baby travel stresses – the Baby Care Centers.
Here you can find:
- Private nursing room with rocking chairs, usually with calm musing playing
- Changing room with large changing tables (not the ones that fold down from the wall or the tiny squares found in some Disney restrooms)
- Feeding area with highchairs
- Kitchen with microwave, bottle warmer, and sink
- A room with television, table and seating for a kid who may just need a minute to decompress
- Baby care essentials such as formula, baby food, juice, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter medicine, pacifiers, and more.
I make sure to mention the Baby Care Center to anyone traveling with babies or young kids. Whether it’s a planned stop to help your kid decompress in the middle of the day or an emergency drop in to buy some prunes after one too many servings of mac and cheese, the Baby Care Center has you covered.
