Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently welcomed not one but two new babies! A healthy Nile hippopotamus calf and a healthy western lowland gorilla were both welcomed at the park this past week.

Gorilla mom Azizi and father Gino welcomed their infant on Tuesday and introduced the baby onstage at Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. The parents have another gorilla child named Cory who was born in 2014.

Hippo parents Tuma and Henry welcomed their new calf on Monday. This calf joined nine others in the family already and has been spotted on Kilimanjaro Safaris already. The animal care team at Animal Kingdom is letting the new families be for now and will share more updates with us soon on these new exciting additions!
